Europe’s Premiere Dark Comedy show is back! Often imitated, but never duplicated, a show for people who think that joy is for the weak!
Dark Stars is Berlin’s Premium Dark Comedy Show! This time with Sasha Dlgopolov (@sankldive), Abi Mohanty (@abiscomedy), Eyal Wartelsky (@eyalwartelsky) and Christoph Schmid – hosted as always by Nir Gottleid (@thenireast)

Dark Mode is an iteration and re-imagining of Europe’s longest running dark comedy show – “The Berlin Offensive” – we have been running these shows since 2017 and we’re still going strong!
The Prime Time edition features an all pro lineup of non-stop cavalcade of offensive humour, holocaust jokes, and vivid discussions of necrophilia. Comics will take to the stage to discuss such wide ranging topics from pediatric cancer to why Germans love asparagus so much. Comics on the Prime Time show are typically professional comedians who have extensive touring experience & TV credits. This is not your standard Berlin open mic.

Sasha Dlgopolov (@sankldive):
Sasha is an alternative queer political comedian from Russia, who had to flee Russia when the war in Ukraine started. Her comedy is mainly observations about her surreal experience as an immigrant. Sasha often talks about war religion and more. She is now transitioning to English performance from Russian – seeking to start a new life and find her new audience.
Abi Mohanty (@absicomedy):
Abi is a Berlin based comedian. Born in India, she didn’t go far from the stereotype of being a software engineer. While that fills her pockets, comedy fills the void in her heart. Currently converting childhood trauma into jokes one show at a time, Abi has been performing all over Europe, usually in places where Ryanair goes.
Christoph Schmidt (@topf.comedy):
Christoph was born and raised in the faraway lands of Venezuela, he’s come all the way to Berlin to live the dream as a stand-up comedian and writer (Comedy Central). When someone asks, he has often been pointed out as that big dude over there, yes that one. His comedy has been described as dark, kinda like oil covering a polar bear cub. He has performed all over the place but you can mostly find him in Berlin were he also co-runs the “Roast Battle Berlin” and “Comedy Suicide Squad”
Eyal Wartelsky (@eyalwartelsky, @twojewscomedy):
Eyal Wartelsky is an Israeli-Jewish Stand-Up Comedian who has been performing in Berlin since 2019. He is part of the musical comedy duo Two Jews. His comedy is autobiographical and introspective but also tries to find humor in the darker and absurd aspects of life.

Nir Gottleid (@thenireast on instagram) is an Israeli comic who has performed in the throughout Europe, the US, and Israel. He has come to Germany to, as he says, “make Germans feel uncomfortable as a form of reparations”; he would prefer to date Germans to achieve his goal, but sadly German women have intelligence, common sense, and eyes — therefore he’s forced to do comedy instead. His combination of dark humor, self-deprecation, and obscene “dad jokes” will leave him in stitches, because you are very likely to stab him after his set.

Nir has been touring Europe, and has produced multiple successful shows such as “The Berlin Offensive”, “Schindler’s Fist”, and more. He is widely regarded as the darkest comedian in the English comedy scene in Germany and more than meets that expectation by awkwardly talking to audiences about things he most definitely shouldn’t be talking about.
His first solo show, “The Revenge of the Jew-Di” is a 60 to 90 minute exploration of holocaust puns, the life of an Israeli expat in Germany, dating in modern day Berlin, and more. It is currently on tour in Germany and Europe and you can get tickets and see show times here!
Nir is touring with his second solo show as well, “Middle Rage“, and talks about the fun sides of depression, anxiety, cats, hate crimes dating as a single old man, and the bitterness rage and feeling of acceptance that can only come with a life exhaustively lived.
